The day after Christmas we flew down to California to visit with my family. Everyone was able to come! It was so fun being with everyone and even though we are living in a small space it made it more cozy. The kids are a little older now which was nice because we could let them just play in the playroom or outside together. I love seeing Cambri play with her cousins. We got to have a second Christmas where we did a little gift exchange and had all the kids in matching PJ's.
cutest thing when we got there all the kids held hands
After we went to the Train Museum where we got to see real trains.

We also got to go out to ice cream and go on a date with no kids for a Christmas gift from my parents. We went to see the Hobbit in 3D at the Americana.

We also went down to San Diego for my sister Jen's little baby Alexis's Blessing (this trip was my first time seeing her, so cute!).
When we were little my dad always did magic shows for our birthday parties. They were the best! Well for Christmas all of us gave him magic tricks so he can start the tradition again with his Grandkids. So for the last day in CA he did a little Magic Show. It was really fun to watch again.
I had so much fun with my Family and look so forward to seeing them every time. It's hard being away from them but it really makes you cherish the time that you do have together.
Oh now for the nightmare airplane ride home...
First of all to get to our terminal we had to take a shuttle across the airport plane lanes and the place we were had only one food place and it was so crammed with people. We got there and flight was an hour delayed. Sucks but bearable. Then we board the plane and wait for a half hour and they say there is maintenance computer problems and we have to de-board the plane. We waited at least another hour before they found another plane for us. We get in the plane and the weight is too high so they have to find airport in case we need to have an emergency landing. Odd. Then 20 minutes later they say the weight is still too hight and they need a couple of people to volunteer to get off. So then they have to find those peoples luggage which took another half hour. Then they tell us there are high winds and they will not be able to serve us until we at least get to Vegas because of the bumpy ride. No wonder the tickets were so cheap, never fly with American Airlines to LAX. I only packed so much for Cambri to do and eat. At this point it is way past her bed time and she is cranky but luckily she was tired enough to watch most of tangled on the plane and actually did pretty good. It definitely could have been worse. The first picture was her first time on a plane on the way over and on the right is a picture we took on the plane on the way back to SLC to keep us entertained.
