11 Months Old

Cambri turned 11 months old last Thursday. That sounds so big to me. She still is such a baby and doesn't seem like an almost 1 year old. Everyone says it's hard to say that you have a favorite age with babies but I do! I absolutely loved the newborn stage where she just cuddled with me all day. That is probably my favorite but this age, 10 months and now is pretty even with the newborn stage. Cambri is so fun and has let us know who she is with her busy personality. She is very independent and will explore the house all day if she could. She crawls in all the nooks and crannies and isn't afraid of anything or anyone. She loves almost everyone. Instead of her crying when we leave she smiles and waves goodbye to us. I think she knows that we'll be back to play with her soon. She is so sweet. She still hardly cries. Just when she really wants something. She barely even cries when she gets hurt (if you give her a treat she'll stop right away). She is such a happy and loving baby and is just so dang cute.  Here are some things about her this month...

Cambri loves to dance! When ever she hears music she will sway, clap, or swing her arms to the beat and bounce up and down. It's so cute.

Her biggest milestone this month was learning how to stand! Her first time standing was actually dancing and clapping while standing! Now whenever she stands she has to clap. I love it!

Cambri loves to wave hi and bye. She even says bye whenever she waves and goes "bah" for bye.
She's started to wave at people (and animals) when she see's them. At church on Sunday she saw the chorister leading the music so she kept on waving back to him the whole song.

She learned how to clap this month and claps whenever she does something that she thinks deserve praise such as climbing high places or standing all by herself. She'll clap when other people clap too.

 

We love Cambri's open mouthed kisses. She will give them away freely now which we probably take too much advantage of but who doesn't love baby kisses. It's cute, if Mommy an Daddy are there she has to give both of us a kiss.

She's such an explorer. For example today she was being really quiet and I found her behind our rocker which to get to she went though the space behind our couch in between the wall. She also is a climber. Today she learned how to climb on top of the fireplace and tried to open our front door. She has no fear. She hardly shows signs of being tired because she's so busy playing.

For Christmas we got her a walker and she loves to walk all around the house with it. She's very funny with it and will get really upset whenever she gets stuck somewhere so I have to constantly be following her around. If she gets stuck she'll look at me like "why aren't you moving this.

 

Cambri's at the age where she outgrew everything. She's now in 12-18 month clothes (first time she finished a clothes size before reaching the actual age), we upgraded her car seat, bathtub (we only have a shower), and lowered her crib to the lowest setting. She's definitely growing up fast!

I can't imagine life without Cambri. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect baby. She brings such life, happiness, and purpose into our lives. Even though this is her last month being labeled as a "baby"..(sad!), she will always be our baby girl.
